For many trail runners, getting to the start line is the hardest part.
Not the training, not the climb, but everything else. Travel logistics, meals, where to stay, how to recover.
That’s where the idea for our Race Support Escapes began.
We wanted to create a way for people to take part in these events without having to think about anything else.
Just show up, hang out, explore, eat, enjoy, and race.
We’d handle the rest.
This September, twelve of us headed south to the French Riviera for the UTMB Nice Côte d’Azur.
Eight runners, four crew. One house overlooking the sea.
The days before the race were slow and easy, exploring canyons, ocean swims, espresso stops, cliff jumps, and what felt like an endless supply of baguettes.
Evenings were spent around shared tables with good food, laughter, and stories from the trail.
Then came race day.
Some ran 20K, others 55K, 100K, even 100 miles.
Each race had its own rhythm, but the energy stayed the same with crew on the course, friends waiting at aid stations, and the calm of knowing everything else was taken care of.
What makes these escapes special isn’t the distance.
It’s the collective experience, the balance between effort and ease, between solitude on the trail and connection at the table.
Everyone arrives for their own reasons but somehow leaves with the same feeling,
that being out there, moving through these landscapes, is exactly where we’re meant to be.

Rock up and race.
We’ll do the rest.
